About Martine,
Martine began working in the landscape design and maintenance field in 1995, and quickly realized that this was her professional destiny. In 2003, she started Beausoleil Gardens, specializing in creating beauty around private homes. From the beginning, Martine knew that her intent was not to become a large business, but instead to focus on a close working relationship with each of her clients.
A native of France (near Paris), Martine has brought to this country a love of the aesthetics of French formal and country gardens. Her travels throughout the French countryside helped her develop her sense of a balance of gardens with nature. Coupled with her studies of Landscape Design at the Landscape Institute of the Boston Architectural College, Martine has developed her style of four-season gardening with a focus on using native plants wherever it is compatible with the landscape needs and aesthetic.
Martine aims to practice organic gardening, and is an active member of the Ecological Landscaping Alliance (ELA), New England Wild Flower Society, Grow Native, and the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University.
